SURYAThe release on Thursday came after the Bombay High Court dismissed a plea filed by the CBI against the streaming of the Netflix documentary ‘The Indrani Mukherjee Story: The Buried Truth’ on the Sheena Bora murder.
A documentary series on Indrani Mukherjee, who is on trial for the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora, was released on OTT platform Netflix on Thursday after the Bombay High Court dismissed the CBI’s plea against its streaming.
The docu-series titled ‘The Indrani Mukerjia Story: The Buried Truth’, which examines the disappearance of 25-year-old Bora, was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix on February 23.
After the CBI approached the court stating that the documentary might influence the judicial process, the High Court asked the makers of the documentary to release the documentary. On Thursday, the court granted bail after rejecting the CBI’s plea seeking a stay till the trial of the case was completed.
